Dermatologists
Successful Medications
The Dermatology Society of Zimbabwe (DSZ) was officially established in 2024 in response to the growing need for a unified professional body dedicated to advancing dermatological care in Zimbabwe. Recognizing the critical role of skin health in overall well-being, a group of pioneering dermatologists, researchers, and healthcare advocates came together to form the DSZ with the mission of promoting excellence in dermatological care, education, research, and advocacy across the nation.
Zimbabwe faces significant dermatological health burdens, including high rates of HIV-related skin conditions, fungal infections, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers. Prior to the establishment of DSZ, dermatological expertise was limited, with few specialists serving the population. The society aims to bridge this gap by fostering specialist training, public health initiatives, and research tailored to local needs.

The mission of the Society is to promote excellence in dermatological care, education, research, and advocacy in Zimbabwe, with the aim of improving the health and well-being of the population.
